Welcome to West Cornwall Walking Holidays

We are Chris and Sara, a couple who have lived and worked in West Cornwall for nearly 30 years and who both have a passion for the area, its people and places.

I developed a keen interest for walking from an early age, and have always loved to be outdoors and in nature. I have spent all of my working life outside in a range of locations, with several periods working with the National Trust, and also spent a memorable time working as a Forester, helping to clear storm damage on the small Island of Tresco, in the Isles of Scilly!

Most recently I have been working as an Area Ranger for the National Trust, based locally at Botallack, with a workshop and office a few hundred yards from the Coastal Path. I have been part of a team responsible for conservation and access along sections of the South West Coast.

I am currently a member of the Lands End Coastguard Search & Rescue Team, on call 24 hours a day to help anyone who gets into difficulty along the coastline – so you can rest assured you’re in safe hands!

When not working we like to travel in our campervan with our daughter and dog Scruff, and I enjoy hiking and backpacking.

We have recently set up this company to offer guided walking holidays in West Cornwall – it has been a dream of mine for many years, indulging my passion for sharing this incredible landscape with others.
